Determine preferred location of the rail post. Remember, CorrectDeck RapidRail is designed for a maximum span of 8' on center.

1. Lower each 4 x 4 post 71/2" into the outer rim joist frame.

2. Through the joist and post, pre-drill two offset 1/2" diameter holes 1" from the left and right edge of the post, approximately 41/2" apart vertically and no closer than 21/2" from the bottom of the post.

3. Install post using 1/2" x 8" carriage bolts and washers (not included). Box frame around the post.
